An app for learning advanced English
Master English is a mobile application for adults who want to achieve advanced English language skills to advance in their careers. The application is based on artificial intelligence technologies and personalized optimization of training to make learning as effective as possible.
The Master English app was launched in February 2021 and has seen rapid growth in its user base since then. It is currently available for iOS and Android phones in most Spanish-speaking countries in North and South America, as well as in Brazil, DACH, Spain, and Italy.
The core team at Master English Ltd has worked together for over 10 years and created several successful digital language learning solutions.
The idea for Master English came about when we were exploring what kind of digital language learning service could have the greatest positive impact on people's lives. Advanced English language skills open doors to high-quality education, accelerate career development, and enable international collaboration.
Based on this, the team set itself the following mission:

Master English program usage starts at masterenglish.com. For now, the application is available in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German and Italian in the company's active target markets.
In the coming years, the company plans to expand its operations to even more new markets and possibly new customer groups. The company's technologies are mainly independent of the language being taught, and therefore expansion to other languages is technologically possible.
Target customer: adult who wants to advance in their career
The target customer of the Master English program is an adult who has significant professional expertise and a desire to advance in their career, but lacks English language skills.
The target customer works in a relatively demanding office job as a specialist or manager. For them, fluent English would likely mean a quick promotion, which is why they are willing to pay for learning and start immediately.

The Master English program begins with an initial questionnaire, based on which the program is tailored to each user. The program is carried out through the Master English mobile app, which is individually optimized based on the user's progress and learning needs. Individual optimization makes learning effective and motivating.
The Master English app has already received over 11 000 reviews on the Apple App Store, with an average rating of a whopping 4,9/5 stars!

The Master English app is based on individual optimization

Individual optimization (patented)
means that the speed of progress and the repetition of individual items are optimized for each customer separately (picture above). Individual optimization enhances learning and motivates the student.

Speak with AI® (patented)
is a technology developed from 2017 to 2021 together with the University of Tampere and with the support of Business Finland, that teaches oral English like a private tutor. The system recognizes pronunciation errors made by the user and can provide individual instructions on how to correct the error. In addition, the system can measure the user's progress and provide them with individual, encouraging feedback on their progress.

NLP & NLU
(natural language processing / natural language understanding)
technologies are used in the Master English application to provide feedback. For example, the application can correct the user's grammar without having thought through all possible errors and correct answers in advance. This speeds up the development of learning material and, on the other hand, reduces the risk of a situation where the user answers correctly, but the service does not recognize the answer.
The company is actively developing new learning technologies. The current focus is on artificial intelligence solutions based on large language models (LLM) , which are intended to further improve learning outcomes and customer retention in the Master English application.
WHO WE ARE
Public projects
Master English Ltd has received public support for a project in 2025 to change the system architecture to support multiple source languages instead of only one language (Spanish). At the same time, the service was localized into Portuguese, enabling its launch in Brazil, with a population of over 200 million, and ensuring the success of the architectural change.
In addition, the company has received a loan from Finnvera in 2025 to open new markets.

“Group” was added to WordDive Ltd’s name in 2021 when the Master English business was launched.
The entire company's name was changed to Master English Ltd in 2023, when the WordDive business was transferred to a new company founded together with Otavamedia Ltd, which was named WordDive Ltd.
